Practicing The Way Discipleship Series Begins Sun, Sept 13th
Sunday morning Adult Education will conclude their current Covenant Affirmations series this Sunday, August 30th. Given the long Labor Day weekend in the week that follows, there will be no Adult Education on September 6th. Beginning Sunday, September 13th, Adult Education will begin a new series called “Practicing the Way” exploring different aspects of what it means to follow Jesus and a framework for different spiritual practices.
The Wednesday evening Discipleship Groups beginning on Wednesday, September 23rd will be studying and practicing Sabbath in depth. All are encouraged to sign up for those groups. The Sunday morning Adult Education class is independent, though complementary, to the Wednesday evening Discipleship Groups.
Celebration of Life for Sandy Hill - Fri, Sept 18th at 3pm
All congregants are invited to attend a Celebration of Life Service honoring the life of Sandy Hill on Friday, September 18th. The service will begin at 3pm and be followed by light refreshments in the Fellowship Hall.

Practicing Sabbath Discipleship Groups
Wednesdays, 5:30pm-7pm, Beginning September 23rd
So many of us feel that life is moving too fast. We and the people we love move from one appointment to the next, from work week to work week, school day to school day at a relentless pace. Though our calendars may be full, if we’re honest we recognize that this does not feel like life to the full – which is what Jesus promised! The good news is that God has offered us a way of life called “sabbath” as a means of experiencing true rest and replenishment in the midst of a busy and hurried world. If you want to learn more about the practice of sabbath, and how to apply this in your life, join us on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00pm for a 6 week session beginning September 23rd. Dinner and programming for kids will be offered. Click here to register!
