Partnerships

We believe that when Jesus said “Love your neighbor” in his Great Commandment, he meant our actual neighbors, in the places we live, and beyond. We partner locally, regionally, and globally to make a positive difference wherever we can.

Serve Globally

Over 9% of our giving goes to the Evangelical Covenant Church and helps fund several aspects of denominational work and missions. Nearly 44% of that goes to Serve Globally. This is divided between several special interest and short-term missionaries around the world. We have the privilege of building relationships and communicating regularly with these missionaries. Currently we support missionaries working in: Belgium, Colombia, Ecuador. France, Japan, Mexico, Spain, Southeast Asia, and Thailand.

Covenant Kids Congo

Our congregation sponsors more than 80 children through World Vision’s Covenant Kids Congo. Through a partnership that began in 1937, the Evangelical Covenant Church joins the Covenant Church of Congo in supporting local community development in northwest Democratic Republic of Congo. Our child sponsorships help provide clean water, healthcare, education, agriculture and nutrition, economic development, and child protection.

YMEN & DELTA

Located in the North Lawndale community of Chicago, the Young Men’s Educational Network (YMEN) and Daughters Equipped to Lead Through Action (DELTA) have become important regional mission partners. YMEN and DELTA “have a vision that the youth of North Lawndale will be the emerging leaders to bring revitalization and positive solutions to the community and its residents.” Our relationship with YMEN and DELTA is based on fellowship and worship, as we look for ways to come alongside their mission to deepen and strengthen our partnership.

Scott Elementary School

In our commitment to the local Naperville community, we partner with Naperville 203’s Scott Elementary School. Although we assist financially, our significant connection has come in tangible ways, like providing meals, an after-school club, and Christmas gifts for families. We continue to look for ways to deepen the relationship with Scott School as new opportunities present themselves.
